BTLN UPDATE

Another Btln update and another week is in the books. Wednesday was a little unusual, it looked like we were going to have really small numbers up until about five minutes before we started. I guess with the day off of school the guys were in a little different space.
Before I go any further I need to congratulate Josh Ridsdale. Josh has brought five friends this year, so he earned a $20 gift certificate from D.Q.! This deal is available to anyone that brings five friends, so get on it!
Our theme is "How great is our God" and this week we focused on how God is in control of how long we will live on this earth.

Psalm 139:16b - All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Job 14:5 - Man's days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.

God has given us the chance to make good choices that could lengthen our lives.

Proverbs 10:27 - The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.

Ephesians 6:2,3 - "Honor your father and mother"-which is the first commandment with a promise-"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

Aren't you glad that it is God that holds your life in his hands!

This week we let the guys vote on the game that we would play, and this week handball won in a landslide. The game was intense with tempers getting a little heated, but it wasn't anything that I haven't seen before. Anyways the game was a lot of fun, especially at the end, you know how it ends "the next goal wins". Me and Jere were on the same team and this week we went home happy. (we won) Score you ask? 1-0! Handball always ends 1-0.
Zach was the B-dog this week and after he made sure that Sam(the Champ) wasn't going to win, Dalton took the Helmet! Congrats to Dalton, it is Dalton's second Helmet of the year!

Only two weeks until the 15th annual Btln Olympics!
