BTLN UPDATE - ROYAL RUMBLE 16

Congrats Aiden! Aiden Burch is the 2022 Royal Rumble Champion! Aiden won the last Royal Rumble in 2019, making Aiden Back-to-Back Champion of the Royal Rumble! Forty-one guys competed in the sixteenth Royal Rumble! That is twelve more guys than the last time we did it!

We always start the Royal Rumble with the Lightweight Division. Paxton, Julien, and Kedir were the final three for the Lightweight Division. All three of the boys were by the ropes at the end. Kedir was able to stay alive when the other two went out. Kedir won the Lightweight Division, earning himself a spot in the Heavyweight Division!

Congrats to Kedir!

The Heavyweight Division went awesome! The final five were Bryce, Cam, Ashton, Brennan, and Aiden. All five of them were battling near the ropes, with three of them getting out. Aiden and Brennan survived that battle, making it to the final two! An amazing part of the Royal Rumble we've started in recent years, is the "Final Two-Ropes Down" tradition. All the boys sat on the ropes, making it easier to get shoved out of the ring. It is awesome to see all the boys watching and cheering on the final two! Brennan and Aiden battled it out for a little while, but eventually Aiden was able to shove Brennan out. Aiden kept his title of Royal Rumble Heavyweight Champion!

Congrats to both Aiden and Brennan, it was an amazing finish!

2022 Royal Rumble Champion - Aiden Burch

2022 Lightweight Division Champion - Kedir Martens

Special thanks to Lance, Ben, Jason, Luke, Coady, Matthias, Mataeus, and all the other leaders for making this happen! The Royal Rumble is not possible without your help!

BTLN UPDATE

Congrats to Aiden on his first British Bulldog win ever! Brennan was there at the end with Aiden, but Aiden wouldn't be denied his first helmet win of the year!

This week at Battalion we played Murderball! We played Murderball the first Battalion night this year, making this our second time playing it this fall. Luke's team won the first two games, and they started chanting three for three! Lance's team ended their winning streak though, and won the third game! After that, Luke's team won the fourth game! Luke's team ended up taking the victory with three out of four wins!

This week our Bible study topic was patience. This is the fourth Fruit of the Spirit we have gone over.

Here are some of the Bible verses we read:

1 Corinthians 13:4-5  -  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Ephesians 4:1-3  -  As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Jesus has not returned yet, because He is being immensely patient with us, wanting us all to have a chance to choose Him as our saviour. We can learn to be patient with one another by Jesus's example.

Thank you to all the boys and leaders who came to Battalion this week! Remember, it's the Royal Rumble (Wrestling) next week, so show up around 6:45 at the glass doors! It's going to be awesome! Bring a friend!

BTLN UPDATE

Congrats Bryce! This was Bryce's second helmet of the year! Bryce is currently in the lead in the race for Winston! Bryce made it past everyone during the last round, while the other guys couldn't make it to the other side of the gym. This gave Bryce the win and the helmet!

This week we played stickball! It was an exciting game with all the boys chanting and banging on the walls. Each team had an even amount of turns at bat, giving every team the same chance at winning. The scores were close the whole time, but Luke's team scored the most runs, taking the win!

STICKBALL FINAL SCORES:
Luke's team - 14
Matthias's team - 12
Josh's team - 11
Mataeus's team - 10

This week our Bible study topic was thanksgiving. We read through 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 in our squad meetings, and answered questions on the topic of thanksgiving.

Here are some of the other verses we read:

1 Corinthians 15:57  -  Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 136:1-3  -  Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever.

We also read the story of Daniel and the lion's den. Daniel trusted God and thanked God, even when things weren't going his way. We can learn to be thankful about God and His love, in spite of our bad situations!

Thank you to all the boys who came to Battalion this week! We appreciate it! We're back at the church next week for another great night of Battalion! Be there! Bring a friend!

BTLN UPDATE

Congrats Jaxon! This was Jaxon's first helmet of the year! Bryce was there during the final round of British Bulldog with Jaxon, but only Jaxon made it to the other wall. That gave Jaxon the win and the helmet!

This week we played Handball! We started off the game with 4 balls in play, making the game pretty exciting. After that, we went to playing with one ball. Jonny scored the winning goal, giving his team the victory!

This week our Bible study topic was peace. This is the third fruit of the spirit we've gone over.

Here are some Bible passages on the subject of peace:

Romans 15:33  -  May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2 Thessalonians 3:16  -  Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Philippians 4:6-7  -  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We learned that when we have a relationship with God, He will give us peace during tough situations. He gives us a real kind of peace that you can't find anywhere else.

That was our fourth week of Battalion! Thanks to everyone who came! See you at the church next Wednesday! Bring a friend!
