They came, they saw, they played!

first off sorry for lack of pictures but i dont have the hook up for my camera so i couldnt put them on! ha so i just took some pics of me in what i wore tonight haha!

so another great night for BTLN football! my second night joining the boys at battalion and its always great to do so! ive been blessed with the opportunity to join the nation part way through my second year of college and it has been worth the 12 hr trip for sure!

so we gathered together for football tonight and at the start it looked like the teams were pretty even but as time went on we learned this was not true at all! we had the martens, drew, and blake vs owen, devin, and ben (roughly) and my team came up 4-1 (i really did nothing to help this score haha). though it wasnt close it was a blast to get out in beautiful BC and play some football! all of you who live here in beautiful Grand Forks take it in everyday...sask is flat and cold! haha!

after some good football times we loaded up and headed to the church where Lance led us in God's word. he reminded us about the significance of this weekend and how important it is to remember what Jesus did for us on the cross! he told us that we can either except Jesus' forgiveness when we screw up (and we will) like Peter did, or act like Judas and not except forgiveness and turn away from God (hopefully not go as far as hanging ourselves, but it did remind me of what a life with Christ is like full of purpose and life without him looks like which is death. just another parallel). it was great to be reminded of this.

we then headed up to the dog pound (the gym at least i think thats what we call it) and played British Bulldog. Josh R started in the middle and took a bit of time to get everyone but in the end Cody came out strong with his first win! as far as i know all the stats from the last update are the same and its looking good for Drew B! David P did another passage tonight bringing him closer to the mosh pits of Creation Fest!

after all was said and done we headed down to A&W for some good talks and food, kinda reminds me of cheers actually, not sure why but hey good times! it was soooo good to get together and just hang out and talk and see the guys again! so thanks for the good times next week is golf be at the church at 6:30 i believe in our room bring clubs and $10 for some good times!!!
