Thanks for another great year Lance! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into battalion. You are an amazing person! Thanks to Julie too for her support and giving up her husband to run the program! God is truly using you in this community. You have made such a difference in so many peoples lives - my boys, Charlie, Owen, Jason, Dalton, Jordan etc. It's because of you that these boys have become such wonderful, godly men!

So I looked up CSB on Wikipedia and found this under the history section thought you would be interested

"Brigade was founded in 1937 by Joe Coughlin (1919-2005), then a sophomore at Wheaton College, Illinois. It began as a boys' group, under the name of the "Christian Service Squad," at the Methodist church in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, where Coughlin served as a Sunday School teacher. By 1940, when Christian Service Brigade was formally organized with a governing board, there were Brigade units at 18 churches in the Chicago area. From there, Brigade spread to churches across the United States and Canada. Today, units are most highly concentrated in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio. The largest unit in Canada is located in Grand Forks Southern BC, The legendary unit 3739 with over 50 members since 2004. "

Thanks Katie, all though I don't deserve the credit. Makes me think of a verse from an old hymn. "To God be the glory great things he has done!"
