LAST NIGHT 2010

It is getting late but I still have Nos running through my veins so I may as well do my blogging now.(I won't be able to sleep for a while anyways.) What a night! There is so much to do and so much going on that I don't appreciate the night until I get home and ponder all the things that we did. I am never sure how many guys are going to show, but once again God filled the gym!(He never ceases to amaze me!)
It is tradition to play Murderball on Last Night and I am never one to break tradition, so guess what we played? Jeremy's team took the first game but the second and third belonged to my team. It is nice to finish the year on a winning note! (The second game was back and forth, it was a classic, both teams had a chance to win.)
The nine foot party sub was next(Thanks to Jeremy and Joel for cutting and cleaning it up!)on the nights agenda. After all the guys had their piece of the sandwich it was time for the 2010 Btln grad ceremonies. First the guys received their copy of the Btln Motto. I love the reaction of the grads when they read the Motto for the first time, it is priceless. Next was the Btln Bible presentation, it is always my favourite part of the night.
The 2010 year end photo was next and then on to Bulldog. Dalton started in the middle and it was no easy feat as there were quite a few Alumni that are never easy to take down. At one point Drew was pushed to the ground and was sliding on his stomach. He came up a little short of the wall so he did this front crawl swimming motion to get to the wall, it was awesome!(There is no quit in Drew, that is why he is a two time Winston Champion!) Zane took the final Helmet of the season to bring his total to two. Congrats Zane! Sam Schiesser clinched Winston a couple of weeks ago but did not take possession of Winston until tonight. Congrats Sam! You earned it!
Blake did a quick promo for the Pines and then after our circle prayer our night at the gym was over!
21 of us piled into three vehicles and headed over to Castlegar for Boston Pizza to cap off the night.(We ran into blinding snow on the way over, it had me praying for safety!) While there, we gave the grads their Btln Medallions and Alumni shirts. Always good food and good times at Boston Pizza! And before we knew it the 2009/10 Btln season had come to an end! Can't wait until next year!
