THE P.O.W.

Welcome to the P.O.W.(Passage or Passages Of the Week). Jeremy and I were talking and he mentioned a passage that he had recently read and was excited about, so I thought that I would share it with you.
Exodus 33:11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend.
That is an exciting verse, Moses was able to speak to God(The Creator of the universe and the Saviour of the world) just like you would speak to your friends. Wouldn't it be sweet to be able to talk to God like that? That must have been encouraging for Moses to be able to speak to God in that way. Is it really any different for us?
Hebrews 4:16 Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
So God wants us to approach him at anytime with confidence.
1Thessalonians 5:17 pray continually;
God wants us to always be thinking about him and talking to him, he wants us to approach him at anytime or anyplace. Of course we can't hear God out loud but his word is available to us at anytime. In some ways we have it better than Moses, he could only talk to God in the Holy of Holies(with a few exceptions). We can talk to God wherever we are. As the verse in Exodus says, we can speak to God as a man speaks to his friend.

its awesome to be able to talk to God but at times does it not feel that our prayers are hitting the ceiling and God is not around!? what do we do then? how should we feel?

I think it is natural to feel that God does not hear us but this is why we must study the Bible.
Hebrews 7:25b he(Jesus)always lives to intercede for them.
Jesus is just waitng for us to pray so that he can intercede for us!
1Peter 3:12a For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer,
James 5:16b The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
If we know that God wants to hear our prayers, it will be easier to accept his answers.
