It's time again for the Passage of the Week and I figured that we shouldn't do to many of these without doing our verse.
2 Timothy 2:1-3 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
We have had this verse as our motto since the 00/01 season. It hasn't always appeared on our merch, but has always been our motto. Paul tells us to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and the things that he(Paul)has said. How can we be strong in this grace or the things that Paul has said if we don't read our Bibles to find out what it is that Paul has said? He wants us to entrust this treasure to reliable men who will be qualified to teach others, hopefully this is what we are doing at Battalion. This is why it is so exciting to see so many of our Btln Alumni going to Bible School, they are learning about this grace and will be qualified to teach others. All the Alumni that come back and help at Battalion are an encouragemeant because it proves that what God is doing here(and in Kelowna) is working. Finally Paul tells us to endure hardship, living for God is not going to be easy, we will have struggles, but if we study God's grace and apply it to our lives we will be able to endure any hardship that comes our way.(With God's help!)
