This email came from Harold Browne President of CSB Canada! he also helps in the states. basically he is a big deal in CSB hee hee. this was a email Lance got from him after seeing a pic of Jason Hayashi with the CSB flag at grad! way to go guys and way to go Lance for making CSB in Grand Forks what it is today be encouraged for the good work we have all put into battalion.

"Lance and Julie, This morning I needed something to encourage me. That picture of Jason at his graduation sure did that. Thank you for your faithful ministry. Seeing one of your guys doing that confirms the benefit of your efforts."

Jer give the OK sign if the weekend was good

well i would have to say that this last maylong was one of my all time favs! (sorry jer and joe). i had one my best friends come for the weekend Tyler Francis which made it awesome its always good to see you man! it was at least in my top 5 all time favorite maylongs. we had sun all week and maybe 10 mins of total rain! so that alone puts it high in the rankings! the weekend started friday night at treadmill creek! over the weekend we had roughly 30-35 guys maybe more which was pretty good for numbers. we had many crib, poker and risk games played. me cam jay and lance played risk twice the first time i won the second time i was close but then the guys decided to all go after me and destroy me which they did and Cam ended up the winner of that game. also if you forgot Steve Chursinoff put up 50 bucks for the largest fish over the weekend and correct me if i am wrong but i believe Charlie won the 50 bucks! which gives me 1 for 3 so far. during the weekend we had our hot tub for the 2nd year which was amazing in it self! sunday night my Dad Bruce Jepsen joined the weekend suddenly making the beach a lot louder (which is a good thing). around 6:30 we started the 2nd annual crib tourny! me and lance made the teams randomly and the teams were as follows. Drew and Parker, Calvin and Bruce, Ben and Tyler (yes francis), Cam and Blake, Eli and Jason, Lance and Nolan, Abe and Dave, Evan and Devin, Ryley and Derrick, and Steve and Charlie. so after 2 hours of crib playing best of 3 each round we ended up with Dave Pod and Abe Martens the winners! it was a lot of fun. making it 1 to 1 for my predictions! well i guess since i stated the weather was nice and sunny and some of us went swimming i get 2 for 3 for my predictions! not bad at all. over all it was a awesome weekend just spending time together, sharing laughs, and taking things way too far! hee hee. so thanks guys for making the weekend amazing and you can check out the maylong pics at www.facebook.com on my profile! i also want to send out a big congrats to Brad Pauls who got married this last weekend! its always great to see battalion alumni get married i wish you the best Brad and every one here at the blog gives you a big salute! thanks for being apart of my life i hope our friendship continues to grow over the coming years! keep it real for Christ guys and stay tuned for some more battalion posts coming your way through the summer!

the end of the Battalion Blog?

well as you all know battalion is over........the sad thing is i dont even think anyone will read this post.......im not even sure if anyone ever checks this thing anymore! but if you are reading this you need to know some things about this blog and its future. 1. the Battalion blog is not dead or will be dying while im around. I plan to keep posting till september when i head out to briercrest. 2. come september though my battalion blogging days will be over i will be handing it over to someone else to continue the official Battalion 3739 blog. hopefully this person will be committed enough to post twice a week especially since i will be 14 hours away and i will want to know whats going on back in BC! 3. battatlion isnt actually over until maylong and then theres creation fest and well before you know it we will be at the martens pool so really battalion lives on year round so the blog will also be year round just not as many posts! so this isnt the end of the blog the end of Ben Jepsen well yes but the end of Battalion Headquarters no! keep it real for Christ

and the green jacket goes to........

well the last night of battalion outside of the mylong coming up was the golf tourny! we had about 30 guys all together at the par three golf course. we started out with a putt off having everyone putting and whoever was the furtherest away from the hole was out if the game! it went slow but ended up with alumni Ryley Hep and Nate Ball. the last hole was a far one but Ryley had is game on and won the 5 buck tourny! we then proceeded to a night golf tourny! we all recieved glow in the dark golf balls and broke into teams. the was a prize for the top 3 scores and the best combined score with one team. after lotsa night golfing it up we came back to check the scores! we had 3rd Charlie langis 2nd Nate Ball 1st JORDAN WALSH! yes 2 years in a row Jordan walsh wins the green jacket! good job man. and the team that won the best combined score was Jordan Team as well! good work guys! now all thats left is the Maylong crib tourny where Taylor W and Cam T will try and defend their title! but after the final battalion night depression and excitment all blend in together. its good to take a break but also sucks having no battalion. in other news me and Jay are making maylong campout t shirts. we plan to keep them under 10 bucks if you are interested PLEASE email me at linden_16@hotmail.com or leave a comment with your shirts size otherwise you WILL NOT GET ONE! i need to know by the end of the week or they will not happen! thanks! i hope you guys have a great rest of the year and summer! stay tuned i plan to keep posting stuff till september when a new guy will take over! have a great week guys.

Jordan Q Walsh! defending his green jacket for the first and maybe last time. it will be the last time to win something till may long for the 06/07 season! so some details you should know. you want to meet saturday (tomorrow) with golf clubs if you got em! saturday at 6:30 at the church with clubs if you have any! we dont want to wait forever so try not to be too late! who is going to win you ask? well my prediction is a grade 12. ill shoot straight with ya i think they want it most! keep it real guys!

battalion 06/07 im glad i could take part!

well the night has come and it has gone! it was one heck of a night last night and i hope you did not miss it! so the night started off with lance setting up a net and his radar gun to see who could throw a ball the fastest! if i can remember right Kenny J had the fastest throw with close to 80 mph and Jordan W was next with 75 mph! its scary thinking murder balls are coming at you that fast! we had a total of approx 56 guys including blog legend Steve C in the flesh! as well as 5 new grade 6 guys who will hopefully step up for next year! we then lined up for the last time with Jason making his last commands as sarg. after that we proceeded to the black line to have a 25 on 25 murderball death match! it was crazy! but for the last game of the 06/07 season i was able to be on the winning murderball team! after throwing our guts out we got to eat a massive subway sub which took no problem to get down! while we were finishing eating Lance handed out CSB belt buckles and NIV study Bibles with their names on them for the grads........alas some one got left out mistakes happen i guess we all love ya chuck! ;) we then formed our circle (which was massive) and prayed our last prayer for the season Lance leading the way. and whats a night at battalion without bulldog? Dev C started in the middle and what i thought would take forever actually went pretty quick leaving Nathan Ball the victor for the last bulldog for awhile. way to go man always good to have you out! so has far as the predictions i was wrong on all 3...............ben-853 world-856 good work world i tried. we slowly filtered out of the church but 20 of us didnt stop the party! we jumped in cars trucks and buses for some BP in castlegar. we all met together and chowed down 8 large za's. it was awesome. we then went to 7 11 for drinks (NOS) and flash lights for our journy! hee hee. last year we wanted to go down to the pot holes outside of the Lake but didnt have anything but a burning shirt so we decided against it (with Ryleys help). but this year (last night) we had our flashlights and trecked down the hill to see the wonderous pot holes and watch Lance soak his foot in a puddle! hee hee. we jumped back into the bus and cranked the tunes back home with some MxPx, Furthermore, Emery, Grits and Jars of Clay! clocking out at 12:30 the night had come to an end but the memories will never end when it comes to 3739.

Goodbye my old friends

2 Timothy-2:1-3
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

Well the day has come the final Battalion of the 06/07 season. its a sad day but also a day of celebration! we have some guys graduating from battalion this year and they are heading out of school and battalion to new worlds! im terribly sorry if i forgot someone but i believe Jason H, Jordan W, Joel F, Mike T, Charlie L, and Evan P are all graduating this year! we at the Battalion Blog salute you guys and wish you luck for your future! but tomorrow though sad will be a blast! we will have lotsa boys out as well as some familiar faces from the past! YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS NIGHT!!! we will be meeting at the Gospel Chapel church at 7:00 so please show up between 6:30 and 7:00. it will be a full packed night with games, food, and prizes (mainly for the grads). one of the most exciting things of the night will be the reaveling of the hebrew on the back of our t shirts! but wait only the grade 12's get to find out what it says and they can only tell the girl they marry so dont bother to try and get it out of them unless you want to marry them! (hear that girls.........Mike T is single). so the final predictions i will ever make on the battalion blog.....................:( 1. we will hit a new record with 60 guys out 2. Though he will be in the pictures Ryley Heppner will not show up in any pictures taken tonight once they have been developed. 3. our Faithful leader Lance Martens will shed a tear (either from joy or from pain you decide). so there ya have it the score is World-853 Ben-853 its down to the final run world your going down!!! so dont forget if your in grade 11 or 12 you are invited for a battalion after party in castlegar with some vets! also this saturady is the night golf tourny! meet at the church at 6:30 PM with 10 bucks if anything changes check back ill make sure to let you know here! also if you are interested in purchasing a maylong t shirt please call or email me at linden_16@hotmail.com or call me at 442 8782. i need your shirt size and your name so i know how many to make. and if you order one theres no backing out you have to pay me hopefully no more then 10 bucks for a shirt!

For the Grads i have a passage for you-

Proverbs- 23:17,18

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. there is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

I challenge you guys to hold on to your passions and dreams! dont settle for anything less or the easy way out! itll be hard with satan trying to cut you down but be zealous for the fear of the Lord and your hope will not be cut off. keep it real for Christ

let the good times roll

well battalion went well tonight at the ol high school field then back at the church. we started around 6:45 or so with 2 teams for football things started off! we had lance vs owen and it was a good tight game for a long time but near the end Jer ran 50 yards for a TD then Luke Gordan got one and Taylor W got the last one for lances team. so 4-1 for lance and the guys. after we headed up to the church for squad meeting which was about the events leading up to the death of Jesus and his death. it was awesome just to hear the guys reading the story out loud like lance said every time you hear it it hits ya! after we met and lance talked more about the squad meetings on the things that you dont usually catch when you read the story. it went really well i really enjoyed it. so this weekend try to sit down and read near the end of one of the 4 gospels about what Jesus has done for all of us! we then headed to the gym for bulldog with jermey m in the middle and since drew was sick we had no helmet but making the end was Alex E! good work man! so next week meet at the high school field at 6:30! keep it real guys have a great easter.

Treadmill Update

With 48 days left until May Long 07, my dad and i felt it appropriate to check up on Treadmill beach. We were out fishing honing our skills to perfection for the big weekend. We rounded the corner and the beach came into view. There was still snow, how ever is not a big problem because with the 20 degree plus days were having, it is going to melt like butter in a microwave. As we started to troll towards the beach a familiar sound came to my ear, flowing water. This is expected when we camp at a beach named after a creek, but in the distance I could see the water flowing down the beach! For those of you that don't know this beach or have never been, it is about a 5 minute walk to the creek and the bridge. We landed the boat and I got out to investigate. It turns out that the Pod's may need to find a new camping spot. I assume that somewhere up the creek the banks broke and we now have our own creek in camp.
This brings up a few questions.

a) Where the heck are the pods going to camp, because as it stands they are flooded out.

b) Could we possible make any money off this? Think of it Treadmill springs. I did take the time to test the water, and well, it taste awesome, and I'm still alive, so I say we sell it.

c) How big of a dam can we make? For all those people that read this, us guys, once we see flowing water, it is like an addiction, we start damming the water up.

d) How much of a beach will we have left when high water comes and that small creek grows?

This also brings me to more good news, From what I had time to explore of our "new" beach, I found some fallen tree's. Now some may say well ya no kidding, but in past years we have had to go searching high and low for a dead tree, these two i found right away are also just above pods camping spot, so this will be a nice quick year to get our fire wood.

The main question for May Long 07 is who is going to catch the biggest fish and win the prize of $50 Steve Chursinoff has put up for the prize?

This has been a Paparazzi Production
