BTLN UPDATE

Congrats Noah! This is Noah's second Helmet of the Btln Season! At the end it was Nate and Noah. On the last round Nate was stopped just short of the wall giving Noah the win! I don't think that the race for Winston has ever been this close between six guys!

At the beginning of the night we had the Btln Olympic equipment set up! This week was the Olympic warm-up! Next week is the 20th Battalion Olympics! That's right, 20th Battalion Olympics! So stoked for next week!

Next week is the Btln Olympics and this week was S*A*M! S*A*M is as much fun to watch as it is to play! The 16 glow in the dark Murderballs and nearly 80 glow sticks make S*A*M trippy to play! My team won the first two games of S*A*M. It looked like we would not lose a game, but Ben's team battled back to win the third game. After three we were out of time, my team winning 2-1!

At Christmas time we focus on Jesus' birth and at Easter we focus on his death and resurrection.
This week we looked at Jesus existence before his birth and after his ascension to heaven.

Colossians 1:15-17   The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Hebrews 1:3   The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

Hebrews 1:8-10   But about the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

John 1:1-3   In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In these passages we find out that Jesus as God is, the Creator and Sustainer of all things!

What has Jesus been doing since his ascension to heaven?

Romans 8:34   Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to lifeis at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Hebrews 7:25   Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Hebrews 9:24   For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

Jesus is at the right hand of God and he is interceding for us! This is a full time job!

This next passage gives us a glimpse of heaven!

Revelation 5:11-14   Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

It is the 20th Battalion Olympics next week! Bring a friend and don't be late!
