BTLN UPDATE

Congrats to Su-Spence! Way to go Spencer! Spencer takes the third Helmet of the 2012/13 Btln season!
This week we played handball for the first time this year. There were so many guys that we needed to add a third ball so that nobody was left standing around. It was awesome! At one point there were three scrums basically dog piling each of the three balls! So funny to watch! At the end we took away two of the balls to ratchet up the intensity and played "Next goal wins". It didn't take long for the game to end, Ben's team defeating J-man's team!
In Bible study this year our theme is "The history of the world" or "His Story". Two weeks ago we talked about the Creation of the world and this week we talked about the fall.(Genesis 2:8-25 & Genesis 3:1-24)
One tree, that was it, there was one tree that Adam and Eve were not allowed to touch! It sounds so easy! Why didn't they follow one simple command? God fully explained the consequences but they chose to disobey anyways.
Genesis 2:16,17 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”
How many people turn down God's salvation? It is also very simple! We only need to accept his free gift! Just like in the garden of Eden the consequences are huge! An eternity in heaven with God or an eternity in hell seperated from God!
Romans 5:16,17 Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
We ended the night with Bulldog.(Big surprise right?)Could there be any other way to end a night at Btln?
