P-DUB

It seems a little late but Grand Forks finally has snow. Looking at the snow got me thinking about a passage from Psalms.

Psalms 51:7b - Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Notice that it is God that needs to do the washing. There isn't anything that I can do to wash my sins away. Looking at the snow it is hard to imagine that anything can be made whiter than snow. The glare off the snow on a sunny day can be blinding. I suppose after God is done with us his goodness should shine through us!(Remember God's glory blinded Paul. Acts 9)

Isaiah 1:18 - "Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

Think about it, God asks us to reason together with him! That is amazing! The God of heaven isn't going to force me to do anything. He is going to try and reason with me! If God is going to give us advice it would be wise to listen. All we need to do is accept his forgiveness and he will make our sins as white as snow!

God has made us whiter than the snow!
