BTLN ALUMNI 2009!

First I would like to thank the Jepsens for hosting Alumni night!(That makes it four years in a row!) We appreciate your hospitality!
I will never forget the first Alumni Night and how every time someone walked into the old kitchen there was a big cheer. Every year is different, but when you have that many old friends together in the same place then every year is special. This year Dan and Phil brought some of the guys from 3445. You guys are always welcome!
Once everyone arrived we played around ten games of Murderball. It always amazes me how fast the games are. The teams started uneven so we traded Jason after four games and then when Kenny showed up we traded Jason back. (Pretty sure Jason was undefeated) After Murderball we played Bulldog. Kevin and Sammy started in the middle (Kevin won last year at Alumni and Sammy is the Sarge.) and after a few rounds there were three left; Owen Spisak, Dalton Erixon and Sam Schiesser. All three were stopped but Sam had more forward progress. Sam wins again!
Next we went to Jepsens and just sat around and talked. (My favourite part of the evening.) My highlight of the night was watching Ryley choke back a Brussels sprout. Funniest thing I have seen in a long time!
Last year I quoted this passage, figured it was worth doing again. (Unofficial passage of the Btln Alumni)

Hebrews 12:1,2 - Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The fifth annual Battalion Alumni Night is only 364 days away! December 27th 2010!

what a blast it was to do battalion, my legs are still aching from all the running and was once again reminded just how awesome battalion is. i definetly wasnt undefeated at murder ball but it would be accurate to say that i was the most winningest person. highlight of the year for sure.
