Congrats Caleb! This was Caleb's first Helmet ever! I never get tired of watching guys win the Helmet for the first time! Bryce was there at the end with Caleb, but Caleb would not be denied his first Helmet!
This week we played Mike 23! In Mike 23 the lead changes from round to round. The team that has the lead gets picked on the next round. I didn't share the scores for the last two rounds so that the teams would not know who to pick on. Isaac's Team coming up big in the last round to take the win!
Mike 23 Final Scores
Isaac's Team 12
GeRRald's Team 10
Luke's Team 5
Jason's Team -4
In Bible Study our topic this week was Freedom.
Where can we find Freedom?
John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
Only Jesus can set us free!
What have we been set free from?
Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
Hebrews 2:14-15 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
We have been set free from sin and everything that is a result of our sin, like guilt and shame. We have also been set free from the fear of death. Freedom from sin means that we have inherited eternal life!
