BTLN UPDATE
Congrats Harley! This was Harley's first ever Helmet! Jake was there at the end with Harley, but Harley would not be denied his first Helmet! It was a well deserved win. Congratulations Harley!
This week we played Handball. This was only the second time this year that we have played Handball! (Besides the times we have played it as a part of the Btln Trifecta.) We had so many guys that we needed to add a third ball! It is almost impossible for the guys playing goal and defense to keep track of three balls, but they all did an amazing job! Even with three balls it wasn't easy to score! Tyson and Nathan's team battled back from 20-18 to make the score 20-20 but at the end fell one goal short. The final score was 21- 20 for Ben and Noah's team!
In Bible study this week we looked at the Christmas story. (Luke 2:1-20)
Luke 2:10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
What was the good news that the angels were telling the shepherds about? What was the "good news that would cause great joy for all people"?
1 Timothy 1:15a Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
Romans 3:23-24 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Since we all have sinned and constantly fall short of the glory of God, the only thing that could be considered good news would be, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners!
Romans 10:12b-13 The same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
THE CAPTAIN
