BTLN UPDATE - BBB

Congrats to Jakob! It is not very often that a grade seven wins British Bulldog! Last week Jake was second in the Btln Olympics and this week he has his first career Helmet! That is an amazing two weeks at Btln 3739 for Jake!

Since some of the young guys are still a little confused as to what the three B's are I figured I would compile a list.

The Three B's could be ....
Bacon(On the pizza)
Bonuts
Beans(Bean pot and Bean dip)
Barq's
Bent
Battalion
Brother(Jeremy)
Boschman(Luke or Jake)
Ben Nicolson
British Bulldog
Bible
Bron(Mitch)
Ball(Nathan)
Barney(David not the purple dinosaur.)
Birthday(Jesus' that is!)
Brown(Rik, winner of the iPod!)
murderBall(Sure the B is in the middle but does it really matter?)
Rylee and Riley(Brooks and Becker)
Bump

We had 10 large pizza's from the Omega, Bean pot, Bean dip along with 96 cans of Barq's.

After the food we headed upstairs for a few games of murderBall. Bent's team was too strong for Jeremy's team the first two games, winning both easily. After we moved Jason to Jeremy's team the tables quickly turned, Jeremy's team winning the next three.

Next we moved back downstairs for some Bonuts and Bible study! We read the Christmas story from Luke and Matthew. (Luke 2:1-20, Matthew 2:1-12)

We looked at the shepherds response to the wonderful message.

Luke 2:15-18  When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

The shepherds left everything and ran to the Saviour! Once the shepherds found Jesus they spread the word! Will we leave everything and run to our Saviour? Now that we have found him will we spread the good word?

Philippians 2:5-8  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to deatheven death on a cross!

Jesus, the Creator of the universe humbled himself by coming to this earth as a baby! Next Jesus humbled himself even further by dying on the cross! We also need to humble ourselves and admit that we are in need of Saviour and accept his forgiveness!

Battalion Alumni Night is next on the Btln agenda! December 27th at 7:00 p.m.!
(Grades 11,12 and Alumni)

Stephen Kalnin showed up with a cast on his arm! That is Btln 3739 tough!(Reminds me of Devan England!)
