CREATION 2010, THE WRAP

It has been a been a week now so I figured it was time to wrap this thing up.(I am almost recovered, not unpacked though.) We started out on Tuesday afternoon after d-Pod finally made his way over to Jepsen's.(Bent dubbed David thorn after he showed up late.) The border was our first stop with the Kelowna Germans paying their 6 dollar fee to get into the U.S., not sure why they need to pay a fee or why it is only six dollars but anyways next up was Colville Wal-Mart for our grocery run. Ten loaves of bread, six flats of water, five packages of Menno, 12 cans of chili, 6 gallons of Hawaiian Punch, 12 bags of chips and six packages of ham later(amongst other things)we headed to Spokane for supper at Red Robin. New discovery, Red Robin in the U.S. has bottomless root beer floats! After a quick stop at the Sports Authority it was time to get back on the road as it was going to be at least two hours longer to Seattle than it had been to the Gorge. It was hard to drive past the Gorge and not stop, especially because it was getting dark but we kept on rolling. We arrived at Enumclaw(the new sight for Creation, it is on the outskirts of Seattle)around midnight and had to set up our tents in the dark after a long day of driving. In the morning we finished setting up and then had some time to relax before we headed over to the Main Stage for the first concert of the week. Wednesday afternoon there was a lot of wrestling and crib. Drew went undefeated the whole week, although he didn't wrestle Dan. David Crowder and Switchfoot started the week, it was awesome to see Switchfoot again after missing them last year. Thursday was Manafest, House of Heroes, Group 1 Crew, The Classic Crime, Hillsong and the Newsboys. We gave a Btln Medallion to Matt, Justin and Robbie from The Classic Crime. Matt was very cool about it, as were Justin and Robbie, one of the best reactions we have ever had. Ryley was pumped for Hillsong, it lived up to expectations(am I right Ryley?) and Newsboys was sweet! There wasn't a rotating drum set, but the two movable stages that swung out over the crowd were amazing. They also had KJ come out and sing the rap in Jesus Freak for the finale, very cool! Friday we saw B.Reith, KJ-52, John Mark McMillan, Thousand Foot Krutch, TobyMac and Audio Adrenaline. We added to the list of honorary Btln members on Friday when we gave Trevor and Steve from Thousand Foot Krutch each a Medallion, they were also very cool about it. B.Reith and KJ were a lot of fun and Krutch was crazy. Toby never disappoints, the stage has always got something going on, there are ten people on the stage! We finished Friday with Audio A. at the late night stage, loved hearing the old time songs.(It was Ryleys favourite concert of the whole week.) Saturday we finished the crib tourney and Zach lost for the second year in a row. The free hug shirt is going to be permanently his if he doesn't start winning. Brian"Head"Welch, Needtobreathe, Tenth Avenue North and Skillet finished the week. After watching Skillet last year I was wondering if they could live up to the expectations this year. Well it wasn't a problem, Skillet once again put on a memorable show, it was a good way to end the festival! Sunday was more driving and another stop at Red Robin and then back to G.F., it was one of the best Creation Festivals I have been to!

Enjoy the set lists!
