Battalion Football Trip

So Sat Oct 21 Ben, Sam, Cam, Mitch, Parker, Dalton, Dev, Jason, Bruce, and Lance went on a trip to watch a football game! we left sat morning from OK Tire in two cars. when we all got to Osoyoos my Dad realized he didnt have his wallet so we had to call owen and he grabbed it for us and met us in Rock Creek so we got the wallet but we were now an hour and a half behind the other car which wasnt really a big deal! when we got to Vancouver we got lost and we drove thru east hastings and once we got out we saw a car just starting to park so i told my dad that i would ask them for directions but a girl got out of the car and she wasnt the kind of girl you wanted to ask directions for if you know what i mean so we quickly got outta there! we finally made it to the parking lot and joined up with the rest of the guys! next up was the second annual battalion football comp! we were joined up with Joe Ryley Josh and Blake to form are GF football team as well as two guys from k town one who was a wicked awesome kicker!!! we played football against another battalion and creamed em 42-7! it was sweet! not only that but we won a trophy which we brought back to GF!!! you can check it out at Lances or at battalion. the picture of the cup is above. so we went to the game and what a game it was! BC made it look all too easy out there! it was a lot of fun watching the Lions cream the cats! after we met at BP for celebration since vancouver BC and Battalion all won that night! we crashed CBC for the night and got a pretty good nights sleep! once we got up and said hi and bye to Raylene and the CBC boys we headed to Chilliwack to a sweet sports store. when we headed to the van lance found that he left the door unlocked and hide the trophy and my CDs on me! when i got to the van he asked if he had seen the trophy and then he said is anything else gone? i looked for my CDs right away and was very dissapointed at the fact that they were gone! then all the guys started laughing at me cause they had em i too laughed with relief! anyway we headed home from a sweet weekend and once we dropped off Mitch becker we somehow realized that he was as cool as the Fonze from happy days so from now on adress Mitch becker as the fonze or fonzarelli! lol good times good times. and that my friends is the football trip of 06! cant wait to win the cup again next year!!! boo ya!!!

after all is said and done

Well the rumble is at a close and what a rumble it was! the night started with the guys watching a 4 min movie charlie made to get us pumped for the wrestling!!! it was really good and we give a salute to Charlie for all the work he put into it! (i especially liked the main character!) then the guys went to the gym which was clouded by 2 and half hours of smoke machine and me and Cam started the lasers Lance bought as well as the opening song with the new sound system Emery Studying Politics! the laser was sweet cause its all you could see in the smoke and it went with the music! with battle cries we started the event and every min owen would call a name for someone to be thrown into the ring to fight as well as the sound of an everlast bell! if you were tossed out you were eliminated! as the names were being called eventually it came down to some of the older guys mike charlie jason cam dev jordan and things narrowed down dev cam jason and then finally the man who came out the champion! was our sarg Jason Hayashi!!! thats right Jay is now owner of the battalion belt! he also won a free chili burger from DQ (itll make a man outta ya) 2nd was Dev Chursinoff who won a DQ coupon for some food (cant remember what food) and 3rd Cam Thompson who also won food from DQ! it was a wicked night and if you werent there you truly missed out! i think i coverd all the post game stats leave a comment if you think i forgot something! stay tuned for more pics from the night and as well a update on the battalion football trip! keep it real!

LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!

Well the night is here boys and..............................men for the 2nd annual battalion wrestling championship! announcing his retirment from wrestling defending champion Ben Jepsen will make his appearence to see who will take his spot! now as usual i would make my predictions but some say i will jynx them if i say who will win so i wont be making predictions on who will win but i will tell you this, some crowd favorites this year will be Jason hayashi coming in 3rd last year, Charlie Langis who came in 2nd, Mike Trainer is another crowd favorite aka the bone crusher! and if we look at the underdog category we see names like David Kirkwood, Evan Pod, and Sammy Jepsen trying to keep the belt in the Jepsen house even though he is only in grade 9! best of luck to you all! if you have not seen the belt you can check it out at www.masisboxingbelts.com tonight as well veteran Cam Tyssen will be helping out with some stuff i cant even tell you about but itll be exciting to see an ol Vet like Cam back in action helping out Jer and Lance! there will be some more suprises tonight brought to you by our captin Lance Martens and his bro Jer Martens! its going to be one heck of a night!!! ill post tonight the results as well as other stats after the night is out though i dont expect them to be up till late tonight since we have to take things down and go celebrate!!! so best of luck to all you battalion boys its going to be one heck of a show!

Jordan takes the helmet!

Well i have to say that tonight was one of the funnest nights ive had at battalion! things were just fun times! anyway tonight we played murder ball a battalion favorite and Evan Pod was first against me then i switched teams and he was with me unfortuanatly we only won one game but it was one heck of a match ill tell ya it went for a long time and we were up and down but we came up from behind and killed!!!! and Jason got one to the crotch!!! woo hoo! hee hee. but the score after tonight world-8 ben-1 well with charlie not winning and evan not winning that puts me down but i got one up! so at least im on the board!!! anyway lance had a wicked talk about being saved and what the Bible says about Jesus next time he comes! it was pretty sweet! and as always we ended with britsh bulldog it came down to keven H Dalton S and Jordan W for the helmet and Jordan came thru! so he has now won it twice but this is the first time he gets it for bulldog! keep your head high charlie youll get it! anyway after all was said and done some of us had to go to A&W to recap the night since it was so awesome! well next week is the big night of wrestling! defending champion Ben Jepsen is expected to make an appearnce with the belt since he is retired and can no longer compete he will give it up to the next winner! my predictions on that next week! football trip this weekend should be a blast meet at OK Tire Sat morning at 8 oclock sharp! cant wait to see you boys in CBC! keep it real for christ!

wed night is here!

well its wed night once again and on tonights schudule is good ol gym times! but a week today is wrestling!!!!! so anyway wed night is before us and apparently its world 6 ben 0 for predictions so im going to try and get 3 tonight so i dont feel like such a loser! tonights helmet winner will be charlie langis i know i said the same last week but im holding out for ya man! i also predict that tonight Evan Pod will be on the winning team for the game we play and if he doesnt show up then his bro will be! and finally i predict that jason H will get a ball of some sort to the crotch (this one i can make sure comes true ha ha ha). anyway if you have any pics that you think should be on this blog please send em to me i can always use more pics! o and this weekend is the battalion football trip!!!! as far as i know we got Lance M, Bruce J, Ben J, Jason H, Cam Th, Mitch B, Parker S, Sam J, Dalton S, and Dev C going which makes a pretty wicked trip if you ask me!!!! i cant wait! anyway ill tell ya how the night went hopefully after battalion tonight! keep it real for christ boys! and check out the blog on Ryley and all the great girls who support us here at battalion!

this ones for the ladies (26 of em anyway)

So its been way too long and i apologize for not blogging this earlier but i have now! i want to tell you a story about 26 amazing girls. now this story starts with two average guys just trying to start a t shirt buisness. me and jason hayashi thought it would be cool to call ourselves eternal t shirts but found that that name was taken so we went with eternity and the sky was the limit! our first idea was to make a shirt for girls! we thought it would be cool and funny to make a shirt that said i (heart) battalion boys. we figured this would be appealing to moms of battalion boys and girls in general really. but we were wrong after selling one to my mom, my sister, elaine martens, julie martens, rachel and a few other girls i was left with 20 shirts. rumour had it that me and jason were giving girls a low blow by making these shirts when really we love and respect them! anyway for most Grand Forks girls it wasnt cool to buy one of these shirts and we were having a hard time selling them. things were looking bad what we thought was going to be a fun shirt soon became a problem! summer camp started up and me and jay were both volunteering up at the Pines Bible Camp! i brought my shirts to see what i could do with the girls outside of Grand Forks who really didnt know what a battalion boy was. Christa was one of the firsts to buy one up at camp and soon after Kara and Heather (francis girl atta boy francis). soon other girls found out i had a bunch of these shirts and thought it was great! i had girls coming up to me all day (which was pretty normal anyway....................ok not really) and they all wanted to purchase their own battalion boy shirt! withen a week or two i had the other 20 sold! and i had more girls after that wanting them which was awesome but too bad becuase i had run out!!! so what i am getting at here is that the girls who first bought the shirts we thank you very much and salute you! but for those from camp who bought the rest of our shirts we thank you very much for keeping "ETERNITY" going. you have given us confindence to keep making shirts and continuing our dream! so I want to give a huge THANK YOU to all 26 girls who bought one of our shirts! you dont know how much it meens to use honestly. its so awesome that we sold em all and we salute you! as of now me and Jay are working on some new ideas and should have a new shirt out for all genders and ages coming out in Nov sometime! we also plan for some other things for the Dec holiday season so if you are thinking about a gift for a loved one (especially you guys) then email us or give me a call we got some sweet stuff under way from Eternity! stay tuned for some more battalion stories about battalion guys and also coming soon a interview with Veteren Ryley Heppner.

the Sarg wins Helmet!!!!!!

so late post game update sorry bout that! anyway last night went great! none of my predictions were true actually many people got hurt sammy didnt play the game and charlie did not win the helmet! buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut jason won the helmet almost completing all the grade 12s winning! we played murder ball and Lance took one to the crotch it was hilarious! hee hee sorry man it was! anyway we had special guest vet Al Martens speak and he did a wicked awesome job at it! you can check out his stuff at www.beltimothy.blogspot.com its pretty sweet! wrestling night is on its way as well 2 more weeks or so! also pray for Luke Martens our captain's son! he passed out at school on wed and his lips went blue and he had to get rushed to the hospital. he turned out to be perfectly fine but he will be on his way to kelowna on monday for some tests pray that they will find out whats wrong and that all will go well!!! keep in mind that the 30th battalion anniversary is 2008! start planning!!!! we had team bulldog on wed night with our team the victor (and my team lost horribly in murder ball by the way) and then we played normal bulldog with Mike in the middle since he won last time and Jason winning the helmet this time! so with my predictions im at 0 world is at 3 one day ill get one just you wait! football trip oct 21 should be good times and wrestling in two weeks dont you forget it! keep it real guys!

wed night is the right night to fight

well wed night is before us and we have a super great night planned! many games and violence yes but also a suprise speaker will be joining us an ol battalion vet will be making an appearance! cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! by the way if you did not know the pic above is the battalion ark in its earlier stages at creation fest 05 i believe it may have been 04 but im pretty sure it was 05! anyway in it we keep things that we collect on our adventures and other such objects! if you are really interested in finding out whats inside ask the captin lance maybe he will share with you! predictions for tonight are as follows! no injuries (its just a fealing), Charlie Langis will recieve the Bulldog Helmet, and Sammy Jepsen will play a game for the first time in Battalion History!!!! better than the sandlot

well it was a great night at James Donaldson Park! sad to say that none of my predictins came true but it was still good times! first off i would like to say a big thanks to dev (poparatzzi) for getting 75% off all the pics on this blog keep up the good work! anyway we got there and most of the guys were in the park but they had to hop the fence cause no one unlocked it for us! Jer showed up and cut a chain off the chain linked to the lock and we rolled in! Vetren Ted Martens came and cooked us up some hot dogs and meno as well as some chili from the slow cooker! lance is still cleaning it! we got the guys into the teams and played some pretty sweet ball! and whats a night without bulldog? we played british bulldog in the infield and to make it extreme which we do best here at battalion we added that you could not touch the dirt which was the pitchers mound in the middle! Joel started in the middle since he won the helmet last week and the games began! it ended up being Mike Trainer who won the Helmet this time around which leaves Jason Hayashi our sarg and Charlie Langis left in grade 12 who have not reiceved the helmet! step it up boys! anyway after all was said and done it was an awesome night full of violence and food!!! keep it real guys back to normal night at the church next week at 7!

well James Donaldson is so close! yes thats right tomorrow night around 6:30 battalion will be playing some slow pitch at the ol James Donaldson park. we may even play some........other.........stuff later that night! i also heard rumour of some BBQ and possibly some stuff from the slow cooker mmmmmmm slow cooker! predictions are as follows. Dave Kirkwood takes a ball the the crotch, Lance Martens hits a homer, and Me and Dev are forced to finish whatever is left that people didnt eat from the BBQ! Keep it on the DL but i heard that Mike Trainer will be announcing his retirement from slow pitch! he had a good run! so anyway come on out bring some spits and a glove and get ready for some slow pitch Battalion style!
