Hope no one minds

well i figured since the capt is working the sarg has school and the imposter is fighting zombies i (bulldog/big rig/bent) would do a post for tonights battalion. but first lets do a quick update!

the battalion 3739 just got back from an amazing road trip to Vancouver for some football! there was 4 cars heading to van this weekend each with different soldiers each with different stories. we were going with bravery and courage preparing for battle in the rainy fields of Vancouver. when we arrived we suited up for battle trying to defend our title as champions. we went together all 21 of us plus 5 more of us. we arrived at the battlefield and it was a muddy one surrounded by men and women who inhabited this land with their animals. we waited in the cold excited to play the game of strength and honor. our wait was soon over when we found news that the other army was not prepared and didnt have enough men to come out. the victory was ours we had won the cup a second time around! after we went to BC Place for some lions football and what a game it was not a blow out but a close fun game for all! Book sold an extra ticket and Bruce Jepsen ended up sitting next to a lady ha ha! after the game we had a after party at BP for our final words and good byes in hopes that 3739 would be reunited soon once again! so to all the guys who were on the trip I salute you and thank you for the short but awesome time i had with all of you! i hope to see you all soon and i hope you will stay keen for Christ!

tonight is one of the few battalions i get to be apart of! i hope to see a lot of guys. 1. i predict 47 guys with leaders will be attending battalion tonight! im looking forward to see some familiar faces and some physical excersize! 2. David Pod will be taking home the helmet! If anyone wants i plan to be at the church early to shoot some hoops so come on by if you want! 3. the Bible study will have something to do with Abraham. anyway thats my post and if no one cares ill also do a post game tomorrow! thanks guys glad to do a post again! hope to see you all out!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

It's not the way we wanted to win, but it's not are fault that the coast Battalions are afraid of us! Hopefully next year they can get a team together to play us. BATTALION 3739 getting ready for a threepeat! More pictures to come.

STROBE NIGHT

What a night! We played MIKE TO THE EXTREME with the STROBE! It worked awesome, if it sounds a little dangerous, it probably was, although I think it was safer than it was in the dark. It sure was funny watching Aaron squirm across the floor after the ball. With the strobe everyone else could see what was going on, which made it more entertaining. The Bible study was about Enoch, Methuselah and Noah and how God delayed his judgement and demonstrated his mercy and patience with the people on the earth that lived before the flood, while Noah was building the ark. After Bible study we played Bull Dog with the strobe, not a good idea.Guys were dropping like flies, so we turned the lights back on. After we turned the lights on everything was under control and Devin walked away with the helmet! Honourable mention goes out to Sam Schiesser who Devin only beat by inches.

Rain any one??Good times any one??

tonight was a blast, if you couldn't make it, sorry you couldn't, cuz you missed out on a fun night. What made the night for me was the rain at the end, getting completely soaked, for some it was the meno sausage, others the hot chocolate, or a nice chilled Pepsi, and to some the best part of the night was just getting to slam a baseball. And I now the best part of the night for Dalton was wining bulldog, which proved to be a challenge on the long wet grass.

Take me out to the ball game

Take out your gloves and dust them off boys cause were at the ball diamond rain or shine. We will be at the big diamond by the chevron, where the GFI is held, fallow the big lights. Will we be playing some baseball, and of course if you don't like base ball we will also have the BBQ burning.
The night will be full of good times, food, bat and ball. If we are all lucky we may have a chance appearance of the peanut man(ya right), will we be locked out again, are we going to remember not to get our Canada flag stuck up the flag pole, word on the street is a pitching machine may be available for longest hit, so get get ready and come out swinging.

Congrats to Bryan Berdiken the winner of the helmet last Wednesday and last man standing in bulldog.

Another great night at Battalion this week! The numbers were down a little(30 guys, I remember when we were excited to have 20) so we played a little football. It's time to sharpen up are skills as we are going to be heading to Vancouver to defend our Director's Cup Championship on Oct. 20th.(my team got blown out) So anyways we had squad meetings about Cain and Abel with our new corporals leading the way, and Battalion wouldn't be complete without bulldog so we lined up and yep you guessed it Zac took the helmet home!
