BTLN UPDATE

Congrats to Brennan on his fifth helmet of the Battalion year! Brennan is now tied at five helmets with Aiden in the race for Winston! Aiden has the tie-breaker with two Majors, while Brennan only has one Major. I can't wait to see who wins Winston this year! Congrats to Brennan on the helmet win!

We played Murderball this week! It is always an awesome game to play with guys always moving, and no time to stand around. Josh's team won the first two games, taking an early lead. Lance's team came back with a quick win. Josh's team followed that, also having a quick win. Lance's team won the next two games, making it a tie with a score of 3-3. Josh's team won the final game, winning the series with a score of 4-3. Congrats to Josh's team!

We didn't have an official Double Point Night this year for the Memory work. We gave the option this year for the boys to pick any night to recite a passage for double points. Andrew recited Ephesians 1:3-14 in front of the boys before the Bible study. It is so good to have all the guys in the room listening as Andrew quoted scripture! Once Andrew recited that passage he officially completed the Memory Work! This is Andrew's second year in a row to complete the Memory work! Congrats to Andrew! Jonathan also completed the Memory Work this week, finishing it on Friday. This is Jonathan's fourth year in a row for completing the Memory Work! Congrats to Jonathan! We are very proud of Andrew and Jonathan for completing the Memory Work! Good work men!

This week our Bible study was about the Easter story!

Here are some of the passages we read:

1 Timothy 1:15  -  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst.

Luke 19:10  -  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

John 3:16-17  -  For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Jesus came to earth to save sinners by dying on the cross. Jesus payed the ultimate sacrifice because he loves us so much. Jesus was then raised to life in three days to prove he cannot be beaten! It is so amazing what Jesus has done for us. We just have to believe in Jesus, and ask him to be our saviour, and we will be saved. I hope you are encouraged by these words!

Thank you to all the boys and leaders who came to Battalion this week! We appreciate it! Remember, the 25th Battalion Ping Pong tournament is next Wednesday! There will be Pizza, so come hungry! Don't be late, and bring a friend!
