Time again for another Btln update! Congrats to Max on his second Helmet of the 2013/14 Btln Season! Like last year Max has an early lead in the race for Winston. Can Max stay ahead this year? Can't wait to find out!
This week we played Mike for the first time this year. Jason's team built an early lead but Nathan's team wasn't far behind. Ben's team was losing badly until Noah was added to their team. After adding Noah, Ben's team climbed back into contention. But in the end Jason's team pulled away taking the victory!
Mike Final Scores
Jason's team - 50
Nathan's team - 43
Ben's team - 40
Jake's team - 35
This week in Bible study we talked about trust and confidence. Who should we trust and were should we put our confidence? The answer is obvious but sometimes we need a gentle reminder!
Psalm 56:3,4 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
Psalm 56:10,11 In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?
Psalm 118:8,9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 28:26 Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.
Jeremiah 17:5 This is what the Lord says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.

God's Word tells us that we are foolish to trust ourselves or other men. We need to trust only in God! We can have full confidence and complete trust in him alone!
(By the way, doesn't Ryley's jersey look good in the case?)
