a salute to a good man

well i just wanted to send a big thank you from battalion to a good man who did a lot of great work with our shirts here at batalion! his name is Eric R (i cant spell his last name sorry). this is his last shirt he made for us and he will be leaving us taking his art skills to the next level! best of luck Eric! so if you havnt got your shirt then pay up and pick it up this wed night at James Donaldson! keep it real have a great weekend!

last night

well last night we were a bit low in numbers competing with the first dance ever at school.......i dont see whats so cool about those dances anyway. but it was still awesome! the shirts are done and are wicked awesome later tonight ill post a pic of it cause its sweet! um lets see o last night Joel Feenstra won the helmet for bulldog! we had a wicked game of handball and my team slaughterd Lances team! ha ha! and the last goal was scored by yours truly! we also had to test some pretty sweet equipment last night but thats all i can say since it was only tested by lance jer and me. cant wait! next week we are off to James Donaldson for slow pitch baseball! cant wait! so thats all i got for ya for now i have to head out to stockade tonight to check out the farm team see whos coming up for the team! keep it real!

just saying hello

hey guys well i wanted to let ya know that all is good here at headquarters! this wed is a normal night filled with dodgeballs and bible studies! o and just in case you were wondering its not a set in stone thing we are going to hawaii in fact im pretty sure it wont happen but here at Battalion we like to dream and we dream BIG!!! so just keep that in mind! anyway so far this year jer gobbit has won the battalion helmet along with jordan walsh, we have had 2 succsesful dog piles for birthdays, and jordan walsh wins the belly flop contest once again! o and i think i speak for everyone when i say congrats to Aaron and Shanon Frieson they had a baby girl this past week! we at battalion salute you! keep it real everyone!

Battalion + Audio A + Hawaii = Good Times

so Captin Lance has decided that it would be a good idea to pack our bags and head for Hawaii where Audio A will be having there last hurray before they call it quits forever! Now rumour has it (charlie langis says so) that tickets there for 5 days and back will cost 500 bucks. i for one dont really believe it but i havnt looked it up yet! so hold on to your hats cause battalion may be on a trip to surf with Audio A! Just below is the news from Audio A about their final show!

Rumors have been flying about the whereabouts of Audio Adrenaline's final show later this year. While their current tour itinerary ends in Canada, bassist Will McGinniss has revealed in an interview with Christianity Today that they hope to have the last hoorah in Hawaii. "If we pull off what we're hoping to, we're going to do a 3-day, 2-night trip to Hawaii with our fans that can afford that," McGinniss told CT's Christa Banister. "We would go surfing at Waikiki with them, then we would do a luau at night, then the next night, we'd do a rock show with a few of our friends. It would be not so structured, more laid-back. We'd take some requests from the crowd, have a few fans come up on stage and sing with us. We'd have a great time goofing off for the last time. Then we'd spend a week with our families and each other together and reminisce." Although it doesn't sound very feasible for even the most diehard of fans across the globe, diehards like us hope we'll somehow be able to make the trip. a party aint a party till it gets shut down

well heres the low down on the pool party wed night sept 20 2006. it started out like any other modest party, Lance had the food ready i went and got my cd player and music like most partys have and people started showing up! we had about 40 guys altogether which was wicked awesome and we swam and ate grapes. then the first game started pool football getting it across the pool and getting a touch down our team slaughtered! then the belly flop contest came next. the leaders gave some examples, Aarons was the best (front flip and a half which results in a belly flop!). guys started getting in line and the three judges did what they did best........judge. the leader so far was cam and parker at a score of 8 8 8. Dev C steps up for his master skills and gets a whopping 1 4 5. so um my prediction was way off! next came the cops...........yup you heard right the cops came three of them! they came with flashlights asking if we were naked.......sammy laughed. anyway they asked who lived here and Lance told them that his parents did (at this point it was very dark and steamy from the pool) the cops then asked where Lances parents were, Lance didnt know. the cops pressed lance as though he were 15 so Lance told them he was 34. i guess the cops didnt believe him because they asked him for ID. Lance left and some of us were thinking it was pretty funny and tried not to laugh. Lance came back and rumour has it he had to do a breathalizer (not true by the way). they gave us a warning and told us next time theyll charge us 80 dollars for being loud which is funny cause we looked it up and found that there is a noise curfew at 10 and it was only 8 maybe 8:15. so that was pretty awesome! we continued the night with only two men left for the belly flop comp! our very own sarg Jason Hayashi and to end it off the defending champ Jordan Walsh! jason steped up and asked Lance to make sure the light was on him. the next part of the blog is for people who are 18 and over so i warned you if you get mad at me.....................ready.........................here it comes.....................Jason gets naked and does a flying streak in the air and does a pretty good belly flop! he gets 9 9 9 which puts him in first! so last up Jordan walsh. he steps up like its no big deal jumps 8 feet into the air and slams the water like no one i have ever saw! he gets 10 10 10 and wins once again! if i had a hat as i type this i would take it off for ya Jordan! the night continues with cake and good times in the basement! we also celebrate charlie langis turning 17 on the 20th and my bro Sammy Jay turning 14 on sept 17. and yes i forgot when his birthday was so kill me! im a horrible horrible horrible brother! im for sale apparently. anyway alltogether it was a night to remember and i hope the CBC boys and all other retired battalion boys can take something from reading this blog for its dedicated to all the guys out of battalion! we salute you. keep it real and stay tuned for our next adventure were we decide if we want to travel to a certain island!!!!

Pool Party!!!

well the battalion pool party will be held tomorrow (wed 20) night at 7:00. we will have the 2nd anual belly flop comp! defending his title this year will be Jordan Walsh who also won the green jacket at the battalion golf tourny. itll be a hard comp this year with the new judges from russia! but i would predict a definite under dog not someone you may think would win for this year= devin chursinoff. so youve heard it from me and we will see what happens tomorrow night! stay tuned for the post game highlights!

i almost forgot

hey everyone i almost forgot to tell you what lances suprise was!!! he got an actual war helmet painted a B on the front and 3739 on the back and the best part is the paint is glow in the dark! ya i didnt believe it either i had to see it myself just call me thomas i guess. so anyway this helmet is awarded to the man who wins british bulldog every wed! they get to keep the helmet for a week and then they have to bring it back so someone else can win it! first winner was Zack Gobbit! its pretty sweet! so ya thats the suprise Lance had for us! so dont forget pool party at Abes this wed night meet at around 7! hope to see you there!

after the night

so after the very first night of battalion there were a few injuries nothing major! we were able to dog pile lance twice both times he had no idea! which made it great. something happened that has never happened at battalion as far as anyone could remember.........no power for the first 45 mins or so which was weird playing bull dog but good times none the less! everything was great for the first night and we are all looking forward to the pool party at abe's house next week!!!! hope to see you there!

lets get ready to rumble!

well today is wed sept 13 the opening night for battalion 2006/2007! tonights predictions are as follows. expecting between 30 and 40 men to show. first night things might get a bit crazy so i suspect 2 injuries of some sort tonight. we have a few rookies again coming from the farm team "Stockade" some real hopeful prospects thats for sure may even be a sargeant in there somewhere!!! tonights evet will most likely be murder ball followed by some british bulldog!! i heard rumour that our captin Lance Martens has a suprise for this year that will shock you all!!! all i know is it has something to do with british bulldog!!! cant wait to see what that is! tonight is also our captins birthday so he will probally walk away tonight with a limp once we are done with him! ;) over all it should be a great opening night with many people ready to rumble and get going for the new season!!! ill post how the night went for all of you out of towners mainly the boys back at CBC doing there thing we salute you!! so check it out later tonight id say between 10 and 12 there should be a new post on how the night went! so keep going hard for God guys and happy birthday Lance!
