Ever had one of those nights?? i bet not, this one was Awsome

Tonight was awesome to say the least, we had about 36 guys in total which on Halloween is good id say and the thing that got me was they were all the young guys that you would think would be out trick or treating, my salute is to all you young guys that came, job well done. Sam did not predict right with d-pod not coming, he in fact showed up, Kevin H did not win the helmet either but congrats to Kaleb on the helmet victory, and we sure didn't play any murder ball so Sam got 1 point. But don't get me wrong if that sounded like i hate murder ball, i love that game.
We started the night off with our squad meetings talking about Isaac and how he showed the fruits of the spirit even in times of trouble. He first got kicked out of his own land, then he would go along with his men and get them to dig wells for water, every time he hit water the people pf the land would come and claim the well as there own. Isaac would name the well and move, he would not put up a fight or says anything, he would be patient and kind and use his self control. In the end his enemys from before ended up coming to him and asking for a treaty between Isaacs people and the enemy. Isaac agreed, but the point of this story is that if you show the fruits of the spirit even in times were you wanna punch some kind or reply to something with words, this story shows how it will all come back and end up for the good of those who love him.
For games tonight we played some good knock your socks off but in teams, we figured this is the best way to do it as there is no teaming up then back stabbing happening. It felt very good and was a lot of fun to play this game as it is almost a once a year game. We then moved to a new game, not sure what the name of it is, but it was rad. Lance brought a tone of balloons different colors, well 2 different and each team had to kill the other teams balloon but while trying to save there own. I seemed quick, but was a blast. Maybe the ballon game was first, opps. We moved onto another fun new game. we all had a band of flaging tape on ear arm, and the point was to rip off the other teams bands while staying alive yourself. Very fun, but did prove to be a great way of a few nail marks on the arms. Oh ya sorry Sam lances team did indeed not win in these games so once less point. But the new games and the one old game was a blast to play.
For bulldog as i said before Kaleb came out the winner proudly taking home the helmet and a YORKIE chocolate bar. It started slow but as drew gained determination and more small soldier his arm grew until all the men were taken down.
Oh ya again, hehe, we had Pizza, my comment was true, i wasn't sure what we were doing tonight but i sure knew Jer and Lany would pull through with something awesome like always, job well done.
Steve Chursinoff made a guest appearance on his way to work, look for that guy next week as he checks out the wrestling, thats right i said WRESTLING, oh ya Wresting, one more time, Battalion....Attention!!!! Stand at Ease........all boys We have Wrestling next week, its gonna be something you don't want to miss, come early and be ready to to hear loud music and the chance to win the coveted belt.
And at that I am signing off....good night and see you next week, pre-wrestling blog maybe....???

my apologies

Drew Brown (not recent pic).
Good memories from football trip.
Fonz pray for Sam.

well i am sorry i never blogged about wed night! so here we go! so first off predictions! i give myself 2 of 3 cause i forgot to count the guys so there was 47! and the bible study did have Abraham in it crazy eh! but alas dave pod did not win the helmet! so i was at the church around 5 30 shooting hoops waiting for some guys to show. eventually everyone showed up and the night started. for the first time i got to see the new sarg in action Mr. Dev Chursinoff so that was pretty awesome. and after that we broke into squad meetings with yours truly leading the bible study. (hopefully it was good). after that we had an intense game of murder ball ending with a 4-3 victory for the opposing team! ah! we then made our way to the corner where i lead the bible study on faith and how Abraham and Isaac were faithful men of God and how we too can be faithful as they were. and after that? you guessed it bulldog! lol ya its been way to long. we had Bad Bad Leroy Brown take over the helmet and a Yorkie for his victory! way to go man. also apart from myself we had Mike Hughes for alumni! all in all it was an amazing night and im glad i was able to be apart of it! it was awesome to be back for a wed night and the football (still havnt missed a road trip) again and i look forward to december for more action! have a great week everyone.

Hope no one minds

well i figured since the capt is working the sarg has school and the imposter is fighting zombies i (bulldog/big rig/bent) would do a post for tonights battalion. but first lets do a quick update!

the battalion 3739 just got back from an amazing road trip to Vancouver for some football! there was 4 cars heading to van this weekend each with different soldiers each with different stories. we were going with bravery and courage preparing for battle in the rainy fields of Vancouver. when we arrived we suited up for battle trying to defend our title as champions. we went together all 21 of us plus 5 more of us. we arrived at the battlefield and it was a muddy one surrounded by men and women who inhabited this land with their animals. we waited in the cold excited to play the game of strength and honor. our wait was soon over when we found news that the other army was not prepared and didnt have enough men to come out. the victory was ours we had won the cup a second time around! after we went to BC Place for some lions football and what a game it was not a blow out but a close fun game for all! Book sold an extra ticket and Bruce Jepsen ended up sitting next to a lady ha ha! after the game we had a after party at BP for our final words and good byes in hopes that 3739 would be reunited soon once again! so to all the guys who were on the trip I salute you and thank you for the short but awesome time i had with all of you! i hope to see you all soon and i hope you will stay keen for Christ!

tonight is one of the few battalions i get to be apart of! i hope to see a lot of guys. 1. i predict 47 guys with leaders will be attending battalion tonight! im looking forward to see some familiar faces and some physical excersize! 2. David Pod will be taking home the helmet! If anyone wants i plan to be at the church early to shoot some hoops so come on by if you want! 3. the Bible study will have something to do with Abraham. anyway thats my post and if no one cares ill also do a post game tomorrow! thanks guys glad to do a post again! hope to see you all out!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

It's not the way we wanted to win, but it's not are fault that the coast Battalions are afraid of us! Hopefully next year they can get a team together to play us. BATTALION 3739 getting ready for a threepeat! More pictures to come.

STROBE NIGHT

What a night! We played MIKE TO THE EXTREME with the STROBE! It worked awesome, if it sounds a little dangerous, it probably was, although I think it was safer than it was in the dark. It sure was funny watching Aaron squirm across the floor after the ball. With the strobe everyone else could see what was going on, which made it more entertaining. The Bible study was about Enoch, Methuselah and Noah and how God delayed his judgement and demonstrated his mercy and patience with the people on the earth that lived before the flood, while Noah was building the ark. After Bible study we played Bull Dog with the strobe, not a good idea.Guys were dropping like flies, so we turned the lights back on. After we turned the lights on everything was under control and Devin walked away with the helmet! Honourable mention goes out to Sam Schiesser who Devin only beat by inches.

Rain any one??Good times any one??

tonight was a blast, if you couldn't make it, sorry you couldn't, cuz you missed out on a fun night. What made the night for me was the rain at the end, getting completely soaked, for some it was the meno sausage, others the hot chocolate, or a nice chilled Pepsi, and to some the best part of the night was just getting to slam a baseball. And I now the best part of the night for Dalton was wining bulldog, which proved to be a challenge on the long wet grass.

Battalion kicking but at football in vancouver- 10 days

Take me out to the ball game

Take out your gloves and dust them off boys cause were at the ball diamond rain or shine. We will be at the big diamond by the chevron, where the GFI is held, fallow the big lights. Will we be playing some baseball, and of course if you don't like base ball we will also have the BBQ burning.
The night will be full of good times, food, bat and ball. If we are all lucky we may have a chance appearance of the peanut man(ya right), will we be locked out again, are we going to remember not to get our Canada flag stuck up the flag pole, word on the street is a pitching machine may be available for longest hit, so get get ready and come out swinging.

Congrats to Bryan Berdiken the winner of the helmet last Wednesday and last man standing in bulldog.
