well the results are in for the 2nd annual battalion boxing event! this year we had two leagues the light weight and the heavy weight! the night started with the Emery song studying politics and Jason with the new robe and boxing gloves doing his thing! we started with the light weight group and the guys grade 7 to 9 fought it out for a chance in the big leagues! it came down to Brad and Sammy J with Brad being the victor! both of them got to proceed to the heavy weights to show em what they were made of. in the heavy weight division both Brad and Sammy went out though Sam made it to one on one with Jason. it ended up being Mike T Devin C Jason H and Scooba S. (steve F). the fight was one of the most intense ones yet and went for a good long time. first out was Scooba S (whos only in grade 10 i might add) after that dev mike and jay went for a long battale ganging up on each other until mike and dev took out jay! the last two in the ring were dev and mike and though a valiant effort mike came up short making Dev the victor! way to go Dev we at the battalion blog salute you! Brad winner of the light weights recieved a coupon from our sponsers at DQ. Dev the winner of the heavy weights and the whole boxing tourny won the belt, the robe, coupon from DQ and of course the helmet! also this year we had everlast speed bag with the help of Charlie L and Bruce J making a stand for it! we also had a everlast punching bag. Ted M and Bruce J made us hotdogs throughout the night which was also very much appreciated and tasty! big Mac daddy also made a camio by running the sound system playing that funky music! all and all the night went very well and a big thanks to Lance and the leaders of battalion for getting everything together for all the guys! congrats to the 2nd annual boxing champ Devin Chursinoff! next week same battalion place same battalion time! hope to see you there! later dayz

well boxing is before us! i guess Sam didnt want to do a recap from last wed and i was not there so i cannot do it but from what i have heard Dev got a black eye from Mike (the game) and Kevin Hayashi had to spend the night at the hospital due to injuries from Mike (the game) though i hear they are both doing fine! anyway like i said boxing is this wed night one of the biggest nights of the year! Jason Hayashi will have to defend his belt but not his boxing title since this is the second annual battalion boxing event and the last perosn to win was Ben Jepsen. so Charlie Langis will not be making an appearance on wed due to work so that leaves Jason Mike Joel Jordan and Evan for grade 12's this year. doesnt meen that one of them will win but those are the big guys! there will be some new twists and turns to the boxing event this year one of them being a new light weight league for grades 7-9 and a heavy weight league grades 10-12! the winner of the light weight league will get a chance to compete in the heavy weight league! so like every year this year should be just as exciting (if not more) then the last! i cant wait to see you all there for the big event! later dayz

The Last night of january

Well everyone it's the last battalion in January as usual it will be held in the gospel chapel and starts at 7:00 it's a normal night in battalion but next week it's boxing and for the first time ever there will be to leagues the little league and the heavyweights i'm sure everyone is excited about that. Well Ben had to work today so he asked me to run the blog to night so here are my predictions 1. There Will be a bible check tonight 2. David Kirkwood and his gang will show up and 3. It will snow anyways I have to get going tell me what you think of my first time blogging latter dayz.

pack the house

well another great night at battalion. one of the more crazier nights if you ask me. we had about 38 boys out with 5 leaders! so the gym was pakced but it seems to be a better place when its packed kinda like a comforting feeling ya know? anyway dalton did make it in the nick of time as well as owen got dog piled (is that with two t's?) for his 21st birthday! and tim did not show so i got 2 for 3 anyone do the math yet? lol! so we played some sardines again i hide upstairs in what i thought was a easy place but it turned out it was harder then i thought! anyway i wasnt as good as the champ Ryley J Heppner but i didnt do toooooo bad! after we played some murder ball and it started lopsided then it changed at the end! Jer did the squad meeting on how we need to mature as christians so we wont be pursuaded by other ideas and opinions from whatever may come our way but we can stand strong on the truth!!! we had our traditional bulldog with charlie in the middle and it came down to young owen and evan pod with evan coming out just feet further so evan came out for his second win of the season! way to go man! so ya i believe thats all the events that were held tonight and it was a mighty fine night! next week same deal meet at the gym for 7 WE START AT 7!!!! the week after that is boxing new rules with a light weight grades 7-9 and heavy weight grades 10-12. should be amazing! keep voting for the blog if you want to keep it for years to come! i have some candidates for the job so if you want to keep it we have men to do the job! so vote on the side of the blog yes or no! later dayz

WED NIGHT LETS GO

well once again wed night is upon us! wed night is always an exciting day you wake up and if you have a bad day at school or work (or sitting around at home like me) then at least you can look forward to smashing some heads in at battalion and let your anger out! or maybe your having a great day at school or work and then you get to go to battalion to help those who had bad days! hee hee so yes battalion is in 18 hrs and im already excited for the good times! so lets start with some predictions 1. Dalton will make it tonight but just in the nick of time 2. both tim and owen will make an appearance! and 3. someone will get dog piled!! there ya have it ive lost count for the score last week i got one if anyone wants to do the math let me know! also i just want you to know how hard it is to come up with predictions every week! with that said i have other news for the ol battalion blog. since the blog has taken off and done fairly well i didnt want it to die! but since it looks like ill be gone this september ill need someone to take over the blog! right now im thinking Sam Jepsen is a good replacement but i want to hear from you guys! leave a comment on who should take over and if we should continue the ol blog! anyway 7 oclock at the church hope to see lotsa guys out!! later dayz

CREATION FEST 2007

ok well i have now decsided that this year at creation fest will be the most ultimate year for creation fest ever known to human kind! i looked up the schedule thurs morn at 2 am and found out some of the greatest news ever! i knew the lineup for some time now but i have found a new band that will be there that makes me one happy man! a band that i have not seen and have wanted to for some time! that band my friends is Magnified Plaid aka MX freaken PX! or in other words MXPX! i am very excited about this news and cant wait to join the boys of battalion for creation fest 2007. heres a list of bands in order that i would like to see the most if you care which im sure you do not. MXPX, Relient K, Toby Mac, Jars of Clay, Newsboys, Emery, Family Force 5, Switchfoot, Ayisha Woods, TFK, and Falling Up. thats just from best to worst (worst being unreal) for my list. im sure i would enjoy watching any of the bands but thats just my most fav list! anyway go check it out at http://www.creationfest.com/nw/program.php its gonna be unreal this year you do not want to miss it im talking to you boys who can do memory work and go for free this will be an unforgetable year! keep it real.

good to be back

well its good to be back in the full battalion swing of things. the first night of 2007 we had 28 guys come out no not my prediction but not bad anyway! jer was not here tonight so that deleted my other prediction and Dalton forgot to come all together so im taking a point for that since he forgot himself! hee hee since i can do pretty well anything on this blog im taking a point so live with it! dont get me wrong it would have been nice to see dalton out but there must have been some reason for him not being there! anyway tonights squad meeting was about making sure you know the scripture so when you hear other peoples ideas and opinions on God and creation and so forth you will be able to stand on some solid ground and not just be swayed like a leaf in the wind or crashed by the waves of uncertainty! we played some murder ball and our team lost horribly we were kinda close once but thats the best we could do! after for bulldog we played what seemed to me the longest strangest game ever! coming in the winner was charlie L who has won before! so watch out! anyway thats about it for this post! boxing is coming up soon so get ready!!!! later dayz!

To The Future! Battalion-2007

well the day has come the first Battalion of 2007! so please pack your bags and get those ol running shoes out cause 2007 is promised to be filled with hits, new boxing champ, and of course a very long may long!!! ya its gonna be sweet! so anyway tonight will be a typical night with the usual! predictions are as follows. 1. turnout of 32 boys 2. Dalton will forget something that he should have brought. and finally 3. Jer and Lance will be on opposite sides for the game and it will be very close but Lance will come out the victor! there ya have it! so anyway sorry about the long wait i really have no excuse but i dont think i really need one ;) ill be posting about the 2006 year in review after i discuss some matters with some people about the year! so expect a full analysis about the 2006 BATTALION YEAR! keep it real guys seeya at the gym 7 o clock sharp!

reasons to celebrate

well alumni is finished and the results are in, fifty thumbs up. yup we had 25 guys show which gets me another point as well as Nates team (which was mine) won at murder ball! so that was 2 and the third Dan T went out one of the first times so he did not win bulldog. anyway we got together and started at 7 with 25 guys out! the first pic back from left to right-Lance, Brad, Joel, Cam, Kenny, Calvin, Dalton, Nate, Tim, Justin, Dev, Blake, Owen, Aaron, Bruce, Dan. Front from left to right-Derrick, Mike, Evan, Jer, Jordan, Ryley, Jason, Josh, Ben, Dylan(with son), and Charlie. so ya over 25 guys it was awesome. we played murder ball which was dead even but Nates team coming out ahead one win. after we played hand ball which was pretty intense and the other team won.......hee hee the other team. after we got some pics and then ended with bulldog starting with the Captin in the middle. any guesses on the victor for bulldog? yup thats right Aaron F himself! we ended with the circle and headed to my place for food and hot tub! it turned out to be everything and more! Canucks even won against calgary that night!!! thank you for all the guys that came out especially those who travelled in bad weather (Dan and Nate) to get here!!! it wouldnt have been the same without you! so plan for the same time next year hopefully starts to be a tradition! in other battalion news the battalion blog has reached 2000+ hits since sept 20th! thank you for visiting it so often it couldnt happen without you faithful readers and i know theres a lot of you out there so a big thank you for getting the blog to 2,000! anyway i hope you are having a good holiday and we at the battalion blog want to send out a happy new year to you all!!! later dayz

Alumni is on!

aight boys the day is here! THE FIRST ANNUAL BATTALION ALUMNI PARTY! we have been planning this for a long time and the day is finally here! im very excited to see lotsa guys out tonight and i hope to see you there! we have informed a lot of people so first prediction is 25 guys make it out. second prediction is Dan T winning british bulldog and finally i predict Nathan K's team to win by a long shot. so the night will start between 6:30 and 7:00 at the Gospel Chapel Gym. we will play games by popular demand most likely and after that everyone is invited to my house (ben Jepsen) for some food and hot tub! so bring your shorts! also pop and or chips are welcome. so if you are apart of battalion and are in grade 11 or 12 you are welcome. and if you have been involved in battalion and are now graduated from it then you are also welcome! cant wait to see some old faces! bring a camera this only happens once a year! later dayz.

good times all around

well since i will be heading out for a few days i thought i better get a post done for you all! so the night started out with the guys forming in squads with charlie as our sarg tonight! there was no squad meeting just a Bible study that Joe K got together for us at the end. so we went straight to hand ball (1 for 3). i was placed against Blake which fueled my abition to win even more! it was one intense game if i have ever seen one and i have seen many in my days! it ended up being pretty tight and our team won beating blakes team (2 for 3). after this we needed to burn some more time so we sent Ryley Hep off to hide in the church for sardines! after 5 min or so we headed out thru the church to find him and hide with him! he hid well cause we didnt find him for quite a long time! while we were hunting Lance and Sammy went to get some pizza for the guys! we finally found Ryley hiding under a TV in a cabenet. we then headed to the gym for pizza! after eating we played the ever so popular Bull Dog with Nick starting in the middle! as the story unfolded we got to Kevin H as the victor! atta boy Kev! ill try to get a pic up when i can! the numbers tonight were around 25 to 30 guys getting a point for the world! come on boys get your butts out to battalion!!! anyway the score is now set at world-20 ben-9 well worlds only double now roughly! so it was a great night to end off the 2006 year! dont forget 6:30 battalion alumni night dec 27th! meet at the gym! i hope you all have a very merry christmas and a happy new year! see ya in 2007!

last night of the 2006 year

well guys its the last night of the 2006 season! i expect a pretty good turn out in fact part of my predictions for tonihgt is 1. turn out of 40 guys and leaders! 2. blakes team will lose but not by much! and 3. we will be playing hand ball! so by the predictions you can prolly tell that blake chursinoff will be joining us as well as Joe Kraftchick and Ryley Heppner! im not sure but Calvin Peters and Kenny Johnson may be making an appearance as well! so its a pre alumni party! anyway 7:00 at the gospel chapel gym (same as usual) for 2006 good times! in other news the alumni party for dec 27th (open for all grade 11 and 12's and of course alumni) has bad news! as you know we will be meeting at the church for games and then back to my place for food but now there will be no hot tub! sorry but it was out of our control the hot tub will not be working by that time! so anyway keep it real spread the word for the last battalion of 2006! later dayz

the one on the right is our very own Nick Deboeck who adds to the list of men who have won the helmet for bulldog! yup it was a low but great night at the second last night of battalion for 2006! things started off with Mike Trainer as our sarg since Jason H was gone for b ball. we split up into two groups for the squad meetings since numbers were a bit low. the bible study was based around the story of the rich man going to hades and the poor man (lazarus?) going to paradice. we then headed to the gym and voted on either sardines or murder ball and murder ball won by 2 votes! so we had 10 on 10 murder ball and i was with Lance! i was trying my best trust me! we lost 6-0. ya a slaughter if i have ever saw one! Lance recapped on the squad meeting and had a message (or is it mesage? i think its message) on how we need to know where we are going and once we do we need to make sure that we tell our family and friends cause it would be horrible to see them go to a place worse then hades! (forgive my spelling). we ended er off with bulldog as usual and we had drew brown start in the middle! he may be short but he packs a wallup!! it came down to a few grade 12's and nick. nick came thru to win the helmet! congrats man i knew you would pull thru! yes it was one heck of a night! now lets bring up the scores we have one point for the world since kerri didnt have a baby tonight (not that i know anyway) a point for ben since i guessed right on the bible study being taken from Luke and another point for ben since i guessed right on Lance getting slaughtered.........sometimes i hate it when im right. i also want to tell you i was trying hard and my pride counts more then points trust me! i also want to tell you that i make predictions on the spot when i blog i do not call anyone or ask lance what he will be speaking about that night! even ask Lance i never talk to him about predictions! anyway the final score is world-19 ben-7. hey im making some ground! anyway all in all it was a great night full of laughs and gags............kinda. alumni party dec 27th 6:30 Gospel Chapel Gym spread the word like wild fire! later dayz

Tis the season

hee hee man i love calvin and hobbes! anyway i liked my last post so i kept it up until now and man it sure got some reaction! maybe not the reaction i was really looking for but i hope you now know who is responsible for brigade! anyway tonight is battalion so no we have not shut down for christmas yet! tonight should be a typical night (which is an oxymoron if you think about it). so i think the score is world-18 and ben-5 so i meen thats not toooooooOOOoooOOoooOO bad! anyway tonights predictions are as follows- 1. tonights Bible study will be taken from the book of luke and ephesians........just a feeling. 2. Jer will be gone because his wife will give brith tonight.........just a feeling. and finally 3. Lance Martens team will lose horribly tonight at the game we play.........not a feeling a fact. so there ya have it! will ben be up to 8 after tonight? i guess we will have to wait and see!!!!! so i hope you all come out for battalion tonight i think it may be the last night but dont quote me on that! dont forget that all grade 11, 12 and alumni from battalion are invited for good times dec 27th 6:30 at the gym and then bens house for food and hot tub!!! so tell any alumni and get some guys out for the night! later dayz and happy holidays!
